Experience a Rare &
Extraordinary Place
We are a Unique Lodge
For about 5 years, the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World was a collection of extraordinary properties across six continents. It included lodges in South Africa, Peru, Canada, Tanzania, Chile, Bhutan, Malaysian Borneo, Morocco, Greece, the USA and Australia.
These lodges were more than a selection of stunning hotels — they were a collection of rare experiences. The lodges invited guests to discover some of the planet’s most treasured places, while helping to protect those places for generations to come.
Isla Palenque was part of this program since its opening. Unfortunately, the program was discontinued in late 2020. We miss being part of this great collection, but the ethos lives on.
We are one of the Planet's most treasured places
Isla Palenque Resort embodies the very same values the National Geographic Society holds close: authenticity, enrichment, and a dedication to preserving our planet’s diversity.
From day one, we’ve made a strong choice to preserve Isla Palenque as not only a pristine wilderness that deserves to be protected in and of its own right, but as our greatest luxury.
We invite you to experience the hidden wonders of Isla Palenque.
The Wonder Of It All
“It may be impossible in words to actually share how incredibly unique, and how incredibly awesome, a visit to this place can be.”
